Friday when I ordered my LTs and this y-pipe, I was assured by Chris that it would, quote "bolt on", to a catback.
Looking at your pictures, it looks like the I pipe will need to be cut... not something I wanted to do.

The Hooker y-pipe is made from 3" diameter tubing.

Ion, I ordered my setup on Thursday same as you. Acording to Jet Hot, I think I spoke to Todd. He said its a direct bolt up and there is no welding or cutting required. We will see, im installing it next weekend.

Well, I don't know how everyone elses escapades went, but mine was not fun. It was endend up costing $200 to get the Y pipe put on and the new exhaust put on. I could have had one custom made for that??? Oh well, did any one have any problems with it fitting? I know mine did!! And, if you put cats on it, where did you put them?

I don't see how it could possibly bolt up to a 96/97 car at least, the catback stock (and aftermarket!!) has a 2 3/4" inlet.

I started to go with that y-pipe, but my car sits way too low...I had a custom y made. There are a few pics of it on the 2nd page in my sig. It was made in only 2 pieces.

Which cat-back system you have doesn't have anything to do with what header style you decide to go with.

That is way too pretty to put UNDER the car. I would strap that thing to the hood as a show piece.

Looks awesome. That is going to be a killer exhaust when finished.
