Hello from Germany!

Hello everybody,

has been a while since I´ve been active on F-Bodies but the saying holds truth, old love never dies

I recently acquired a car from a local dealer over here specializing in vehicles that military personnel can´t or won´t take with them when re-deploying.

So much for the introduction, while strolling through said dealers inventory I noticed a late 4th Gen Z28 in pewter metallic (not exactly my fave color but oh well, read on...)

Upon closer inspection a few things caught my interest, mainly the door sticker which had the magic "1LE" on it

A few minutes later I had the list of mods in my hands and here goes:

346 c.i LS6 short block
2002 LS6 intake manifold
LS1 .30 milled cylinder heads
PAC single beehive valve springs
Comp titanium valve spring retainers
Thunder Racing 230/224 111 LSA Camshaft
Ported oil pump
LS2 timing chain
SLP smooth bellow
Whisper Lid
Powder coated MAF ends
Powder coated throttle body
Kooks stainless steel 1 7/8" race headers
Kooks stainless steel Hi-Flow catted Y-Pipe
SLP stainless steel 3" dual/dual cat-back

SPEC Stage 3 clutch
Hurst shifter
TICK adjustable master cylinder
LG Motorsports rear-end girdle
GM Motive 3.73 gears
SLP shift ****

PA Racing tubular K-member
LG Motorsports front lower control arms
LG Motorsport tubular rear control arms
SLP 3-point subframe connectors
BMR adjustable panhard bar

Front 9,5 x 17 and rear 11 x 17 chrome ZR-1 rims

Front 6-Piston 13,06" Willwood brakes
Rear StopTech brake discs

Needless to say a run to the bank was done and a few days later I drove the car back to my place

There is still a lot of work to be done as the poor thing had been sitting unmoved for quite a while, mainly suspension work and getting a few things operable again (no horn, water tank for wipers removed... guess somebody had started a track car project on this one)

Regarding the mods this car has, where do you see the RWHP and the engine HP?

Also, any recommendations on what bushings kit to buy for the suspension?

Any other upgrades you´d recommend?

Looking forward to read and learn more!

Rumbling regards from overseas

Re: Hello from Germany!

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!!!

Good to see an enthusiast pick up what appears to be an excellent find. The Thunder Racing cams go wayyyy back, but produced great results. I remember a post on another site back in 2002 putting down 401rwHP with stock heads.

Re: Hello from Germany!

How is the tune on the car? You have all the paper work on the dyno tune? not much to do with this car. Looks like you have all the good f-body mods.

I would fill in all the little holes on the engine bay to finish that CLEAN look under the hood. So far bad *** bro!!!!
