The kit has the cam, springs, shims, retainers, rockers, and locks. You have to buy the gaskets, timing chain, lifters, etc seperately. You really don't need new lifters unless you have a ton of miles on your ride.

Just a Flowmaster muffler, Hyperjunk Power Programmer, airfoil, Moroso CAI, and a ton of luck. It's an A4 with 3.23s. My best EXACT time was 13.67 @ 102.7mph. I rounded off the mph high, and time low. I guess I would be running closer to a 13.7 but hey, I'm technically not lying. It did run a 13.6.

Has anyone thought about the Crane Cam that is CARB legal? It puts out some good numbers... I believe the numbers were 218/218, 280/280, 116 LSA and .498 on 1.5 RRs.

Again, there's a lot of good cams out there for the LT1. Man, I sure like mine . I can't wait to see what it will do at the track, but I can tell you, it goes like a cheetah on crack! Oh, did I mention how driveable it is? I get over 27mpg on the highway and that's with a stock tune. It chops pretty good at idle, and it pulls 15.5psi vacuum @ 800rpm; but bump the idle up to about 900 and tune it, the car would sound near stock.

Congrats on the gas mileage. I'm running stock with about 15 city and 17 hwy. It's all part of the package, so yours must be dialed in good!

Wild1, you must have an A4 w/3.23 gears. I had a '93 Formula with an A4/3.23 gears and it got 17mpg all the time no matter what. That's why I love my M6! My mileage and power will only get better after I get it tuned.

I don't believe that custom cams are that expensive to have made. I thought I remembered Crane making custom cams for people, and the price really wasn't too outrageous......maybe around $250-$300 range or something like that. You should call some reputable cam manufacturers like Crane, Lunati, Edelbrock, etc.

I'm shooting from the hip here, but those sound like the specs off the factory Corvette LS6 cam, which obviously won't fit an LT1. You could probably get someone to grind one like that for you, but I wouldn't know why you would want to; unless your running boost or N20.

Onebadpancho, I've got 4.10s and an M6. I was getting knock retard which was killing my timing but that has been corrected. That will kill some mileage but you're system seems to be set up great!
