use a tap to put some threads into your intake elbow. then get a piece to thread into it from lowes that will also allow you to hook a vacuum line onto one side of it. you can find this piece in the plumbing aisle. youll know what i'm talking about when you see it.

or you could always buy the vortech intake elbow for like $80-90 at summit. it comes with the fitting to actually place into the itake elbow housing. it looks a lot nicer but does require you to still tap the hole for the fitting and to use a die to thread the iac.

dont forget, you also have a line going into your intake manifold.

It's alot easier to put a small hole into the coupler that connects the elbow to the MAF.

All you have to do is poke a hole in the intake elbow and install a 90° vacuum fitting into it. Use a dab of RTV if needed.

You don't have to tap the hole, just get a fitting and a rubber grommet that will fit and put a hole in the elbow to recieve the grommet. It's up to you though but that's how my TF elbow came and I just had to drill the hole.

okay, well sorry about the tapping info. i hadnt messed with the plastic elbow that much. i had to switch to the metal one early on due to a crack in the stock piece. good info out there for whatever you need though.

I guess the Vortech has it tapped but my Trick Flow came with the gromet and I just drilled the hole. Sorry about the confusion. If it's stock, like shoebox said, just poke a hole in the elbow.

I just did mine...it's awesome...there's a better alternative to the intake elbow! The EGR vacuum works good if you got the correct one way valve vent line.

Send me a line if you want the instructions. The setup rocks in my 94!
