Opti dowel pin protrusion on 95Z?
My builder has the short block almost finished and I need to verify how far the opti drive pin sticks out. If I remember correctly from when we measured one on a buddies car, it's about .600"? I'm talking about how far it sticks out once you remove the opti, NOT the length of the pin itself. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Be careful when installing an aftermarket cam (yeah, I know most cams installed are aftermarket ) because they can have wildly different length dowels compared to your oem cam dowel. A dowel that is no more than .620" will work just fine. Too long of dowel (and I don't know how long) will definitely shorten the life of your Opti's bearing. This is a critical fitment and I'm not sure how consistent the tolerances are on Opti's housings either. I hear they can vary.
