I think I have a 1995 LT1, I know the engine is out of a caprice. Can I ID it with any numbers off the comp or something? THing is I heard the 95's had 2 oxy sensors, mine I think had 4. this is throwing me off.

I would assume they went to OBDII something like half way through the model year.

Any thing I can check to tell?

P/S, I ran the vin, it came up as a 95, if it was the product of a mid year model change, would the vin reflect that?

 

95 LT1's are ODB1's

 

if it has 4 then its an obII

 

If it was the product of a mid year model change, would the vin register as a 96 then, because mine came up as a 95.

 

93-94 are obI's

 

Is that just for caprices?? I know my 95 F body is a OBD-1

 

from what I've heard, 95's are ODB1 with the vented opti and dual cats...
