O2 Sensors OBDII to OBDI conversion

Since I am making the switch from OBDII to OBDI. can the OBDII O2 sensors be used with the OBDI PCM?

The only difference in the sensors is the plug. If you are using the OBD-II wiring harness, you use OBD-II sensors.
