Unusual OBDII to OBDI question...

I want to swap my car from OBDII to OBDI. Im going to get the knock sensor, and no longer have the rear O2's. My friend has a multicar version OBDI EDIT that I can have access to....

So how can I use his LT1 edit with my OBDII connector under the dash. Arent the cables locked to the LT1 edit?

Thanks

No,
the OBDI version doesn't have a lock on the cables. You can use his cable/program as long as he has a 95 style connector...

Sorry I misunderstood. How is his 95 connector useful if I have a 96 connector??? Are they the same?

Will it work If I get a akm OBDII to OBDI cable and use his hardware(OBDI edit)??

95 connector is the same as the 96+ ones.
94 and earlier connectors are different.

If you wanna get a cable from AKM, just tell Andrew that you have an OBDII car converted to OBDI and you want a cable for it.
