I havemy service engine soon light coming on everytime i drive my car now. I took it to auto zone and they said it was the O2 sensors. What exactly are those, are they hard to replace, and is it important for me to replace them right away???
Thanks for any and all help.

The O2 sensors are located in each side of the engine exhaust system, and are used to tell the computer if it is getting the correct air/fuel (A/F) ratio. If the sensors go bad, you can run rich, stumble and get otherwise poor running results.
On your car, in addition to the "pre-cat" O2 sensors described above, there are two additional "after-cat" O2 sensors to measure if the catalytic convertors are working.
BUT.... there are a number of things that show up as O2 sensor codes that can be caused by other things. What were the specific alpha-numeric codes that the scan showed up? That will tell you where the problem is, a good idea before just spending $$$ for new O2 sensors, that might not fix the problem.
