O2 Sensor Question
O2 Sensor Question
Ok, I need to replace my O2 sensors, one is bad, and the wiring for the other sensor kinda melted against the exhaust. I'm probably going to order from GM Parts Direct (good price), but I need to know where to get a replacement plug and how I should go about wiring it in. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Well, you DO get about a foot of wiring with a new O2 sensor. It comes with a harness and connector built in to it. If the wiring beyond that is melted, you could probably splice in some new wire and put some fire sleeving on it for a fix.
hmm i think ur in the same situation i was in.dunno what plug ur talkin bout but on my pass side o2 both the harness from the car and the o2 harness were melted.i bought one from jason cromer, cut off the harness, cut off the harness from the car and spliced and crimped them together, then heat sleaved it.
however after i did this i immediatly throw an SES after 10 seconds after startup.i either ****ed up the resistance(very important)or crossed two wires.i suggest u solder the wires with a solder gun.that way you will not mess up the resistance.thats what im gonna do soon and check to see if i crossed two of the wires.
