Hey guys how good is the K&N intake that comes in the LT1 engines? what did you guys put in and what the cost

A K&N intake does not come stock on an LT1. If you are referring to the FIPK then yes, that K&N intake kit is good.

this is a pic of my current engine, every website i have looked at this K&N air intake came with the car factory.

 

NO F-BODY's came with a K&N FIPK from the factory. Non ram air cars had a paper filter in an air box on the drivers side just behind the radiator header. Ram air firebirds came with a paper filter in a air box on the radiator support and ram air camaro SS's came with a paper filter in an air box on top of the engine.

Take a look in your owners manual to see the restrictive plastic air box your car came with.....because it didn't come with a K&N..

As everyone stated above,they did Not come with k&n CAI from the factory...IMO I would by the Moroso CAI...They fit alot nicer and are cheaper..
