58mm BBK on a non 58mm intake

I have my intake opening opened up mono-blade style, with a stock TB. I just purchased a 58mm BBK and dry fitting it on a spare stock intake there are the obvious 3mm lip all the way around. My question is...can I just use the 58mm until I redrill? I would essentially be using the intake as a 52mm with 58mm openings.

No, the throttle blades will hit the smaller bore and could jam open....bad idea.

It does not jam on the BBK, I put it on a spare intake that is unmodified. Works perfectly.
