need some opinons

k guys, looking to build a 355 and i came across this setup, let me know what you think
Compstar Forged 4340 3.48" Stroke Crankshaft
Compstar Forged 4340 H-Beam Rods
Mahle Forged Pistons (-5cc, -16cc, or -26cc)
Mahle Plasma-Moly 1.5/1.5/3mm Ring Package
Mahle Steel Pins & Wire Locks
Main and Rod Bearings Included
Internally Pre-Balanced by Callies/CompStar!
$2096

im planing on runing turbo, what pounds do you think this could handle,
im pretty sure once we get some stuff worked out ill be going with realquicks log turbo setup. im still up in the air with heads, i was thinkin the new dart pro or maybe le heads, like i said that part is still up in the air

Looks like an all-forged short block. That's alot of money. What kind of power are you going for? You can make good power with a just a head and cam swap plus tunning.

P.S. I wouldn't repost the same question within 24 hours.

Once you consider everything in the setup that is the best value going for shortblock parts, "cheaper" options wont be much less expensive by the time you are done balancing and all. I do not however know if those pistons are up to boost.

I do think both of your topend choices are leaving something to be desired.

One Compstar dealer that ports LT1 heads has a car out there making just over 1000rwhp with a turbo and ported GM castings.

that assy. looks fine. what is more of a concern is how it's put together and what top end you use. you need to do a lot of research and decide for yourself. before you decide on a piston you must know what combustion chamber size you are going to run and what will complement your boost level. Build it from the top down.

Nice botom end parts at a decent price. Good shopping/choices.
