Okay I've posted about this before and got a lot of people saying my opti is bad but before I go ordering a new one I really want to make sure that is what I need and its not gonna be something else like my pcm or just something simple. Car sputted out at a light when someone was test driving it and would not start back up. Car turns over but does not start. I replaced the fuel filter right after it had happened thinking there was a blockage. But I'm getting perfectly good fuel pressure to the engine and I can hear my fuel pump turning on. Checked for spark on plugs and not getting any. Had coil tested and it checks out okay. If anyone can say for sure they think its the opti please speak your mind. Car has been sitting way too long and I need it back up and running. Not to mention I don't have lots of cash to spend.

 

when you crank the engine, does the tach move at all? if it doesn't, then I'd say your opti is gone.

 

Just curious, how does the tach not moving tell you its the opti thats at fault?
