Odd, Lloyd told me LE1 heads have stock valves. I think I'll go with what he said

EDIT: Apparently I'm not the only one told this. Check this thread out. Scroll to the last post.

Which doesnt mean you can't get big valves in the heads and an LE1 cam. Stage 1,2,3, is all just silly. Lloyd will do what you want with your heads, promise

LE2/3 heads do COME with bigger valves, but the port job isnt any better/worse.

Hmm... Did you skip the first post where he says he got 2.00/1.56 valves installed?

they are le1 heads, i just paid x-tra for the bigger valves,,
i supplied some parts, so the price is kinda variable.
it was rouphly a grand for the heads as stated b4, and like 400 for the cam i think, the valve job was a lil xtra too

Numbers look close to mine from him. I'm running a custom cam from Joe O. thats 220/226, smaller than the LE1 cam. Before tuning I made 384rwhp/363rwtq. I'm positive its a little over 400rwhp/375-380rwtq now with tuning(pcmforless). I've ran a best of 11.710 at 116.76 with it also. He also did port my intake for me, and I'm running a stock TB still.

Right, I never mentioned that you can't get your heads done however you choose, that's up to you and your check book. I was just pointing out that the description of LE1 heads includes stock valves.

He's got my heads right now He also worked with me a on going with beehives & ti retainers with the LE2 package instead of 987's.

jkipp84, I have spoke with Lloyd about porting my LT4 heads ask about the beehive springs and he said he had one customer going with them right now so I guess that is you.

Keep me updated on how you like the setup if you don't care. I am interested in going this route but would like to see someone run the setup first.

If it isn't too much trouble what all parts did you have to get along with the springs? part numbers please.

Thanks

Looks that way!

formula383,
I'm not sure about the pn's but it wound up being extra $100 or so. Lloyd is going to handle getting them.

You might try him or Bret or even Comp to find out what all is appropriate for the cam you're going to use with them. I have absolutely no idea if machining is required, btw.

my heads flow 184 w/o pipe at .600, and they flow 210 at .600 with the pipe. seems feasible to me. but poss. a little bloated #s. the #s look great to me. wish I could see some pics of lloyds port job to see what the big diff. is between his port jobs and how I did mine. I think the overall shape of his ports are why he gets those good flow #s, not just that they are more hogged out then mine.

jkipp84, thanks. I have talked to Bret about them and got prices. I will probably go this route expecially since I now know that no machine work is required for them to work so it will end up cheaper than the doubles.

Sorry, they dont. That isnt possible with a factory LT1 casting. Something was off, either the flower, the bench, or otherwise. 230 EX isnt going to happen
