To much fuel? Problems!
To much fuel? Problems!
Well I am cranking my 383 over and it wont start. So I pulled a plug to check spark and it seems to be getting spark but the plug was pretty wet with gas. Whats the cause of this and how do I fix it? Also when I turn the motor over it wont start. Just keeps turning and turning. I am on a stock tune with the mods in my sig but I was going to try and cruise it down the street to get it tuned at a shop down the street. I was maybe thinking the fuel issue is the cause of me having 42lb/hr injectors on stock tune. Let me know what you guys think thanks!!

Your 42 #/HR injectors on a stock tune are pouring in 75% extra fuel with each pulse. From a cold start, the PCM can not "learn", hence can not even attempt to reduce the fuel that is being poured in. You're actaully lucky it won't start. Running that rich would wash the lubrication completely off your cylinder walls, and thin the oil to the point that the bearing life would be severly reduced.
Hey, did you get a tune yet? I was having similar problems after my h/c swap. I went to 36# injectors with no tune. I got my tune in now and I'm putting some stuff back together still, but after reading this post it got my hopes up. I was just wondering if that was the source of your problem?
