My car always has instant oil pressure when I change the oil, you must be doing something wrong.

I always fill the filter with oil before I install it.

I'm following your around? Why don't you go back to page 1 and see who posted first in this thread. So why don't you explain why you don't have oil pressure after an oil change. Everytime I change the oil I have instant pressure.

Your sensor has instant pressure. The assumption is that its reading is representative of the entire oiling system.

The search over there kind of blows but in the "Used Oil Analysis" section search for results in LT1s and LS1s.

I am not saying M1 is bad, just NOWHERE near the wonder lube guys believe it is for the LT1 and LS1, be pretty easy to find a $2 oil to perform as well. If you are going to spend that kind of cash get something that actually works great like the specific Castrol that has been mentioned.

Since we're all throwing personal preferences around, I use a k&n long filter and german castrol synthetic 0w30 oil.

I got a couple of Amsoil EaO filters to run on my Z. I'm going to be using German Castrol whenever I get around to driving it.

Are the K&N filters any good? I know there seem to be a lot of people on bitog that don't think very highly of their air filters. I've always been under the impression that the M1 was a good filter. I've always had decent analysis results when I've used them, but I've never done an analysis on my Camaro. I usually run an oversized filter whenever possible.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that any decent oil in the proper viscosity range, along with a good filter, will serve you well with a proper maintenance schedule.

yeah its pretty much common sense, obviously some people lack that though. if dry start was not an issue then why would car manufacturers lengthen the oil change interval? certainly not to make more money on service. doing a search on this subject will turn up volumes of information

some people like to ignore the obvious just to argue, for fun i guess

I'm sure there are pics out there, but I'll do that next oil change.

So you think a high compression motor with alot more blowby than stock and less vacuum in the intake manifold to pull out the harmful vapors in the crankcase should have the same OIC as a stock vehicle?
