milling heads/intake questions

i have a guy that can do all the milling for free, i was just curious what specs did you guys mill to? does anyone know what the specs for an LT4 intake and heads are? the donor motor is a 93, so its the same as the year of my current car, if i milled it out to the lt4 specs and did a lt4 hot cam how much rwhp would i have, what else would i need to get (besides gaskets) in order for the motor to run. also how much would it cost to do a 383 minus the cost of milling ? thats a lot of questions but if i can get a couple answered i will be happy! thanks for your time

What would be your purpose for milling? More compression? Just to clean them up? Otherwise leave them alone.

Also do a search, you will read for hours.

a cheaper way of getting some compression would be to just get some thinner head gaskets. impala gaskets have a compresed height of .029" as opposed to the stock .049" too. I'm not sure how much it'll raise compresion - probably not much, maybe .2-.4 points? does anybody know?

It'll at least improve quench, whatever that means :P

sometimes you need more, as in my case.

you want to get upto ~12:1 compression with thin headgaskets
