Mail order tune?
It is easy, i'm new to this computer stuff too, i think the directions are easy (step by step), all i did with mine is change the fan temps ON/OFF, but if you feel leory about messen with it & you plan on getting a tune anyways, just leave it be, they can deleat the hypertech for you, no biggie.
I think you may have got a little bit of bad info. Only in regards to the Hypertech tuner though. If you either a) ever want to sell the thing, or b) use it for anything whatsoever, you will want to re-program your car back to stock before sending out your PCM or the thing will pretty much be useless except as a link to install programs yourself.
Regardless you probably spent something on that HPP. Do yourself a favor and either sell it or keep it around in the event you need it for different gear ratios later or shift points, tire height etc. If you sell it, it would likely pay for your tune.

I wouldn't wait for the spray to tune it.... generally, you optimize the tune for running without the nitrous, and then use external means to tune for nitrous (A/F ratio, ignition timing). A simple mail-order tune will net you 10-15HP on a stock engine... you will probably see more with your mods.
