lt1 revving to 7k+
Re: lt1 revving to 7k+
ABSOLUTELY ALL LT1 and even LT4 F-bodies were limiter right under 5900 from the factory.
The stock tach is off about 300-400 RPM so it may look like 6200 or even 6300 sometimes. If you are not hitting the rev limiter, your PCM is not stock.

Yes there is supposed to be a rev limiter a 5800, for all the cars. However, my car isn't running to 6200 or even 6300 but straight up to 7 and slightly beyond, then holds there and then shifts. So i think my car must be hitting the end of the fuel map and just holindg there because it cant go any farther. I got so busy at work today that i didn't even ahve time to check the internals yet, but tom. morning i'll check it out and get back to you all.

You will know if your car gets its fuel cut. Its a kind of a violent feeling.

Aftermarket ignitions cut spark, its much easier on the motor than cutting fuel.
