Ok this is the problem I am having. sometimes the car will start and run great. sometimes it will turn over but won't start. I will turn completely over but not fire up. opti? or fuel problem? I am gonna change the fuel filter and see if that helps. also sometimes it will stall at low rpm's or idleing. it doesn't stall if your in the gas. doesn't do it all the time just some times I am thinking its a fuel issue. any ideas?

 

A scan will tell you if the optical sensor in the Opti is causing the problem. Testing the fuel pressure will tell you if its a fuel problem. Are there any different conditions that correlate to when it starts and when it doesn't - hot starts, cold starts, restart after a few minutes vs. restart after a few hours? What does the dash volt meter show when its not firing up?

 

If you have a fuel pressure gauge that will help, if not go buy one for around $30 and check it.

 

No differ. conditions really. I can walk out there and it will start. and walk about out in a hour and it won't. random times really. sometimes perfect. sometimes won't start at all. Does a average auto parts store have a scanner???? there is a autozone not to far. I could get it up there but I am screwed if it stalls and wont start again...
I will go buy one as soon as I can.
