TPS sensor?
With that sensor unplugged your car is going into limp mode which bypasses a few sensors. The best thing to do is scan your car with LT1 edit and see if your stepping is too high on your TPS and go from there.
Unplugging stuff is not the way to test. A scanner will easily tell you if the TPS is ok. Don't have a scanner? Buy one and learn how to use it. You can't troubleshoot a modern car without one.

Tested and reset the TPS and TB blades. But did not change my surging problem. I think I got the P0122 because I unpluged the sensor. The sensor is giving me the correct readings; 0% throttle is .68v and as I open the blades it increaces to 4.92v stedaly. So I think that part is good. The Idle is now normal but it continues to surge. I did buy a cheap cap from ebay here it is.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160284222696
I thought the cap/rotor was 2 caps and the rotor. I only got the main cap and the rotor not the cap that the opti wiring plugs into. Any ways I think I am going to have GM check it out and tell me whats wrong.

There is no second cap. The main body of the Opti is the back 1/2 and contains the optical sensor and the harness connector. The cap is the front 1/2 with the coil and plug wire towers. You only get both parts if you buy a complete Opti. A generic cap or complete Opti from eBay is a major risk.
Appears you have a code reader, not a true scanner. Best bet is computer software and a cable, allowing you to read the sensors and calculated PCM parameters directly. AutoTap is one example of OBD-II scan software.
Are you talking about a regular obd2 scanner.
