LT1 Edit or Autotap or??? OBDII

OBDII
Can LT1 edit be used as a scan tool? I don't need something that can just read codes, but can tell me all of my engine and sensor parameters. I know Autotap can do this, but if LT1 Edit can do the same thing, i will just get it instead of getting the scanner and later getting LT1 Edit. Thanks.

Since you are OBD-II, there is no "scan" software bundled with LT1_Edit. The OBD-I version does include a version of pcmcomm, and can be upgraded to data log for extra cost. But they never came out with any "scan" option for the OBD-II version.

check out www.obd-2.com

they sell a cable to plug your computer into the aldl port, and free software that reads all realtime sensor data and codes.

however i don't htink you can do any reprogamming with it (not sure). but the cables are only about $125 and the program is free.

No you cant, LT1_edits cable wit hany scan tools, the cable interface is specific to LT1_edit and its flashing program.

IMO autotap is the way to go, its $199 and includes the cable
and is more user friendly than OBD2.coms free version.
