LT1 cooling system and dynos

looking for information on the cooling system for my LT1 build. its a 95 model year setup. my problem is i want to engine dyno the motor to break it in before i install it. but i need to find out which are inlets and outlets on the water pump, and where does the steam line go normally etc so i can adapt it to the dynos inlet/outlet setup. anyone got a diagram or a breakdown of the cooling system components? thanks.

The steam pipe ends up in the upper part of the radiator.

one last question, for the return would it be ok to connect the steam pipe to the heater core return port temporarily on the waterpump for dynoing and blocking off the heater core outlet? or should i just loop it and tie in the steam pipe outlet into it with a T

Don't really need a lot of flow through there, just so long as you do something to provide some flow it should be fine. In a pinch depending on the volume the dyno cooling system hold you could even just restrict the line and run it into a bucket so long as the dyno system can handle loosing some volume.

The steam pipe can return either air or water vapor with the coolant. In the stock plumbing, it ends up back in the radiator, at a connection that is supposed to have a water/vapor separator. If possible, dump the steam pipe back to the dyno's coolant reservoir. You definitley want good flow, because #7 and #8 will tend to run hotter than the other cylinders without the flow. That will affect your dyno tune.
