lt 1 swap

guys i was wanting to swap my lt1 in my 94 camaro to 96 corvette lt1 or lt4

which ever i could find. wanting advise before diving right in and, looking for

somebody to work on the computer in the southeast. found people in CA but

thats along way aways.

What do you feel you wold gain by swapping an F-Body LT1 for a Corvette LT1? They are basically the same engine, except for the 4-bolt mains. Additionally, all the accessory mounts, fuel rail connections, etc are different, so all those parts would have to be swapped from your present LT1.

The LT4 does offer more power, but you could achieve basically the same results with minor head porting and a new cam.

By the time the 4-bolt mains become a good idea you should be looking at aftermarket caps anyway so there is little reason to go looking for factory 4-bolt.
