Re: Ls1 to Lt1 battle
alot of headaches that could easily be avoided by sticking with the LT1 and building it or selling the 96 and getting a 98+ Z28. If you are asking for the fact of having the LT1 camaro look but the LS1 motor, it'd still be easier to just buy the 98+ Z and just swap front clips rather than entire powertrains.

My neighbor tried the supercharged Mustang rout, he 's still slower.

And my dad can beat up your dad
My plans for this summer now that I have some money:
Jet Hot headers with catted Y $1200
Suspension upgrades like SFC, LCA, ect $500
AFR 205 heads $2,200
F13 cam with all other necassary upgrades $1000
You arn't lying about LS1 mods being more expensive. That's one steep order right there. Not to mention that after a few track passes my 4l60e should crap out and I can add 3-4k for a tranny upgrade next spring.
But I still wouldn't trade it for a LT1. 03/04 Cobra I might consider but then I'd have to join the mustang crowd whom I have grown to hate

I wouldn't swap in an LS-1 because I thought my LT-1 was slow. If that's your reason, then you'll be just as dissapointed with the LS-1. You'd get better results from "Modding" your car.

GMHTP, SLP and most other dynos show factory LS1s much lower 270-305 RWHP (310-345 crank) depending on year, and tranny.
there are some cool and smart LS1 guys, but i love how some of the "other" LS1 guys downplay the LS2 now making it out to be "nothing i can't keep up with" classic denial as the LS1's prime is now in the past, just like the LT1 and others before it.

Im sure there are gonna be some people in denial. I really dont wanna come accross them. It annoys me.

You need to reread some previous posts here and see how a few LT1 guys are still angry that the LS1 was created. Are you one of them?
