Don't pull the hub off, you don't have to remove it for an opti change. Just turn it.

Did you unbolt the pulley from the hub

Do not remove the hub. You will have problems if you do.

That only works on the 96-97 hubs, which have the extra holes for a 3-bolt puller. Unless you have that style of balancer, you need the claw puller.

I believe I got what I need now, I will find out for sure tomorrow, thanks for the replies. Also Do I have to remove the whole opti to replace the cap & rotor?

No. Cap and rotor can be done with it on the engine. If it's not leaking, don't take the base off.

You don't need a puller. Take the bolts out of the pulley and tap it with a plastic hammer to get the pulley off the hub.

Didnt have enough to swing a plastic hammer :/ The pulley is on there pretty good , tried using the claw puller and its giving me hell trying to tighten the claws and hold them in place at the same time. I need some extra hands.

So stick something behind the pulley that allows you to hit it and knock the pulley off.

Have you saturated it with a good rust penetrant, like PB Blaster? Rust is the only thing that's holding it on. When the car left the factory, the pulley would fall off when you removed the three bolts that hold it on the hub.

Be careful not to hammer on or pry on the outer ring of the damper/pulley. The damper consists of two metal rings, held together with a hard rubber ring between them. If you damage the rubber ring, the damper/pulley is usesless.
