I respect LLoyd and Bret simply for the fact that it is dangerous to do buisiness on the internet, especially through public forums. All it takes is one arrogant, ignorant ******* to really hurt any good reputation that you have built up. As you can see from this guys post there are the good customers and the bad, it just seems like the bad ones go out of their way to cause trouble.

I will have a BRE cam in the motor I'm doing now, can't wait to get that thing running.

As for published specs, saying that a cam is 218/224 @.050 and 272/286 adv can only get you soo far, personally I have seen 50-60hp difference on cams with the same "specs" on a 700hp motor....

I was thinking about a thread about secrect cam specs and why they are that way.... that and I used to do the whole work for a big company corporate kiss *** BS before, I figured out Smokey Yunick and his no nonsense don't hold anything back approach worked a hella lot better. I think I probably will write that secrect cam thread up sometime soon so explain a few things.

This guy is shady as hell and lied to me about 5 times during my purchase and couldn't even get my parts to me when he said he could. The guy isn't even a supporting sponsor and PM's people trying to sell them cams! He's your average shady salesman. There is a reason I sent that cam back and it wasn't solely based on the fact that it was a 230/236 .598/.608 which can be purchased on Combination motorsports website. I'm sure this thread and everything I write will be deleted because Bret is under the desk of the administators giving them BJ's. Bret you can come out from under the desk now! You have to be kidding me. I've clearly stated in every one of my posts that I did not have a problem with the cam and planned on running it. I have a problem with Bret and all of his BS! You think I am a douche after the PM that I just got from Bret? A guy that is supposed to be running a business and should have more control than that! Funny thing is the guys that I do a lot of work with I like. I turn down a lot of motors and work because of guys like you and I am REALLY busy. Life is to short to work in the money means everything, kiss the customers *** world. If I stuck with my old job I probably would be making a comfortable 6 figures. Some events in 2001 showed me what actually counted in life, money was not real high on the list. Believe me that I lost a lot in my life to do this as a profession and I don't think I would ever have changed that choice if I had too.

Hell I drove 1500 miles to take care of a customer I liked, that was a hell of a lesson right there. Working for the right people is more of a reward than the payment they give you to do the job. I'd probably do it for free if I was independantly wealthy, but that's not happening anytime soon.

AI email spammed me for a set of their heads when I mentioned in a thread where I'd be ordering my LE setup... seen your posts about your liking of their products in the past, things go both ways here.

I do not believe they are a board sponsor any longer, judging by the supporting vendor index.. I could be wrong...

 

Hey bret, i'm sure you have done alot of 396's/398's. I know they gotta be putting down the power. I have your cam and loyds heads. When i get the motor together i'll post the dyno numbers this summer and show that his cams put down the power. Rock on bret, you gotta stick up for your kin folk.

 

He may not be showing up as a supporting member, but Lloyd is, and considering that he grinds the cams for Lloyds packages probably gives him some leway don't you think? As for AI, they emailed me too when I mentioned getting a LE package.

Bret - Lloyd has my trickflows, and he said he will be talking to you about my cam (fully forged 383, -5cc flat top pistons) I can't wait to get it back together, and would be more than glad to post the dyno sheets for you when I get it done just so everybody knows just how "shady" and Effective your cams are, lol.
