along with a forged 383, LE3 heads, LE ported intake, 58mm throttle body, pacesetter LTs, built transmission, TCI 3500 rpm stall, all new valvetrain, and I took out some stuff (A/C, AIR, jack, spare)

I made sure my "bolt-ons" would definitely get me 12s!

A "tune" is not neccessary to get low 13's high 12's. I'm on stk tuning and everything on my engine is OE except for the valvetrain, shorty headers and TB.

I hate to be a jerk, but the search function is an amazing feature on this site. LT1 owners have been asking the same damn questions over and over again for a very long time. Notice how I've been a member for how long? and have how many posts? The search function is your best friend.

HAD you (original thread author) used the search function, you would have found this great thread made a while ago which is amazingly titled "How to get your LT1 Automatic into low/flat 12s"

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357417

By doing a little bit of searching, and reading more than posting the same things over and over, I've got my '94 into the mid 12s on a very mild buildup N/A.
Granted a lot of info can be found by searching, but if all everyone did was search for answers, this board would be dead. You did not have to answer his post if you didn't want to. It frustrates me when people flame others for not searching because a thread that was created a year ago doesn't allow for new opinions to come out. I can say that I am not at the same level as far as mods go 2 years ago, but now I can give a new opinion because I have a bit different experience now.

But most people have hit it on the head. My mods have netted me probably mid 13s, but gears are coming this summer as well as some skinnies and DRs. I think tuning is a wonderful mod as I gained 0.2 seconds in the eighth with my OBD1 conversion.

Well I think everyone knows that reaction time does not effect ET. Just wanted everyone to know that I am not a professional drag racer.
And it does sound like you are trying to be a jerk.

I think we'd be out of business without threads like these
