Awesome Chuck, let it be known HPE is one of the few shops left with a dedication to LT1s as much so as the LS1s cars. So, thanks for looking out for us Chucky.

Re: Kooks new LT1 Headers!!

i'd really dig a set of these in full 1-7/8. i like the step idea, but dont need the extra torque they will help promote for my combo(and i dont need to clear the ac box,it's gone).

killer headers, and about time someone stepped up to the plate with a nice set of headers.

Yeah I like the 1-3/4 Straight headers With emission hook ups. I was looking at Pacesetter headers but I can wait to get a better headers made with better material by an attention to detail company.

Please keep us posted on a 1-3/4 with Emission hook up pricing. Thanks.

The standard 1 3/4" straight tube headers with emissions fittings will sell for 778.

Just FYI, I just got off the phone with Nick, and he says the plug access isn't actually as bad as it looks. So don't judge a book by the cover

Excellent. Can you post pics of these headers when they are available? I don't imagine they are going to sell a y-pipe are they? Please say yes!

Thanks. I checked those pictures already. Those are the stepped headers. If they are going to look like that I am cool with it. I was just curious if the design would change because them not being step headers.

Of course there will be a $250+ y-pipe available. There always is.

Oh well, at least you y-pipe-system guys aren't having to spend as much as the Viper guys to put your systems together.

Friend of mine just bought a set of Bellinger headers for his.... ~$2000 tax title and license. That sucks...

Yes, they're works of art that's for sure but you know Highlander... I had a custom set built for my combination and it cost me $1200 and some change. Just as nice as the Bellingers with great plug clearance, merge collectors and everything tucks up nice and neat underneath.

For what some of these guys are willing to pay, I'd just opt for a custom set and have the best accessibility and fit possible. Plus, had no problems getting a straight 1-7/8 primary.

Not to take away from the Kooks in this thread. Kooks builds a very nice quality piece from what I've seen for the LS engines.

Dang... I was off 30 whole dollars.

Good luck... about time someone stepped up to the plate with another 1-7/8 option.
