KM question

Im told the lt4 KM dosent work on 93 lt1s? if so what do i need to do, i have headers n stuff with some false knock! Do i just have mine de-sensitized or whats the deal, not quite sure

any help appreciated! thanks a ton- Mike

Never heard that before. 93 is an off year for these cars. don't see why an LT-4 KM wouldn't work though.

'93 PCMs doesn't have provision for a knock module.

As noted above, 93 ECM is completely different than the PCM used in 94 and up. It has a removable chip, and no provision for a knock module. Other means are required to eliminate false knock, and "desensitizing" is one of the options. Procede with care, though.

That's is right.... I forgot the 93's had the chip options, mines a borderline car "94 year". Thought they shared the same PCM. Jet makes does make a performance chips for that year though. Might they have somehting for that issue?

i am having ion make me a nice piggy back chip probly but not sure if he can do the desensitising thang
