Yeah, it was just sitting on the splash gaurd. I put it on when it was 30 below out and it must not have been tight enough for the 90 degree weather right now.

This is the intake I have: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=57-3010-1

Would this cause the car to run more poorly because the air/fuel mixture is off?

Your MAF is probably dirty. Was it running poorly? Did you throw any codes?

No codes, but yes it has been running rather poorly lately. Will throttle plate cleaner work for cleaning the MAF? I've been to 4 shops in town and that is all I can find.

Get some electrical clean from autozone, don't use crab, throttle, or brake cleaner. It can hurt the sensor..

My filter use to fall off all the time too.. Now whenever i clean it and put it back on, i just put alittle super glue between the filter and the tube once its on... It'll stay there untill you twist it off the next time you clean it..

Ok, I'll get some electrical clean then. Super glue sounds like a great idea. Thanks!

Just clean the intake, MAF and throttle body, and do a fresh oil change.

You'll be fine.
