ENGINE IN!!! Video clips of idle-XFI 292 cam

I just got my motor put in a couple days ago and still trying to work out the bugs here and there. Runs awesome and still in the "break in" period. Here are a few clips of the idle. Its idles at about 950-1000 RPM's. Its the XFI 292 in my 385ci.

I'm afraid we'll have to take your word for it. To me it sounds like it's running on about three cylinders and someone is shaking a few marbles around in a coffee can in the background. Guessing you recorded it on a cell phone?

I'm sure you'll be completely happy with the XFI-292 cam once your engine is broken-in and you can reallly run it. It will make some serious HP with your stroker! I also have the XFI-292 (ground on a small base lobe circle) and love the cam (11.30s).

What springs are you running with it and how much preload are you running with the 0-lash adjustment?

Check-out this Comp Cams link for LT1/4 specific cams. Basically, the XFI-292 is the biggest and badest HD roller cam Comp makes for the LT engines.

thats a bada$$ cam..but IMO you need more cubes, or AT LEAST heads to take full advantage of the cam. cam only is fast, but heads would help a lot more

sweet vids and i bet it sounds hella mean

I still havent been able to get another video clip of the exhaust because my tranny went out and is being rebuilt. The car does pull hard and smokes the 315 DR's i have out back! also i know i shouldnt of, but the day after the motor was in a Lambo pulled next to me and was pullin away in every gear!!

anyways MarineRecon i will give you a ride once its all together again. Where about are you in Modesto? I always go to McHenry and go the the street races at night
