I've got a problem HELP ME
Finished my lt4 hotcam kit and headers plugs/wires...after completion of everything seems like dead plug or somethin.....
With pedal on the floor (brake torque) in drive it is only going to 2000rpms...Seems as if it may be out of time of there is a dead plug or crossed wire or somethin. Or maybe even my valve lash....just aggravated about it right now and just wanting to get some opinions!

Sounds like the timming is off. How did you adjust the rockers? They may be to tight aswell. Id also check your firing oder. Maybe you crossed a couple of wires. Did you change the plugs out? If so, maybe you cracked a couple. Just some things to look at. Remember, on the opti the firing order is written down on the side of it. I usally write it down on the front of the opti with a perment marker. Just makes things easier.
Just reread your post. On the rocker, You want to tighten the intake valve just when the exhaust valve starts to open. When the intake starts to close you tighten the exhaust. I like to go a 1/4 past zero lash. I installed a starter botton mounted to the fire wall of the car. this makes it easier to turn the motor over when adjusting your rockers. just some helpful tips on making the job alittle easiter.
