intake elbow question

Ok, so if you upgrade to the 1LE, I keep seeing people on this board talking about a "donkey dong." What is this? Also i c people talkin about a removed silencer, what do you have to do to do all this?

Can someone explain to me what all of this means?

I need to get a new intake elbow, but im not sure what to get.

get the trick flow ceramic one from summit. 90 bucks well spent or just get the rubber 1LE elbow.

The "donkey dong" refers to the stock piece with the big plastic silencer hanging off of it.

But what do you do with that donkey dong? I have heard of people plugging it or removing it all together...I just dont know that much about it. Just wondering if i can get one on this board cheaper.

I saw the trick flow one on summitt, but just thought i would try here first to see if anybody has a used one around.

well the donkey dong(silencer) is attatched to the elbow. so you can remove it and plug it, or but a new elbow. Ive heard of people plugging it with pert plus shampoo bottle tops. I just bought a new elbow because mine was beat to hell.

Here is the 1LE elbow, notice that there is no hole where the "donkey *******" was. This part is approx. $47.

Stock Elbow - Has donkey scholong at the bottom of the elbow extending down a bit over a foot. You can plug it if you want. Rubber.

1LE Elbow - Same as stock elbow except it doesnt have the ******* thing part. No need to plug it because theres no hole or anything for it. Rubber.

Aftermarket elbows - Same as 1LE, except they look kinda nicer but some would argue that the extra heat they soak may have a small affect on HP.
