installed elec water temp and elec oil press guages today but there not reading right

installed elec water temp and elec oil press guages today but there not reading right
what would cause this the oil sits on like 50lbs and when i gas it it goes down instead of up and the water temp doesnt hardly move.the stock guages are ok what should i do
