Increasing displacement questions?

When you increase the displacement of an engine, it increases torque, correct? It doesnt neccessarly mean horsepower, correct? So in conclusion, any stroked engine should result in more torque rather than increase in horsepower?

Torque and HP are numerically related. If you increase the torque at any given RPM, you increase the HP at that RPM.

Typically yes. The extra cubes should provide more TQ. esp. at a lower rpm.

but airflow determines HP and if you leave the inlet and outlet choked but just add stroke you do not get a peak HP increase.

Think of it like jogging trying to breath through a standard straw, would you be further ahead to use a bigger straw to breath through and breath more easily or should you just suck harder as you get winded??
