Increase timing
LT1_edit or Tunercat . You will need a laptop or pc and a special cable. See the info on those sites. There is also a computer/diagnostic forum here that you can post in.
It's a large learning curve when you begin to do your own programming, especially if you are going to be messing with timing. Read and learn as much as you can before you begin.

You don't absolutely need a laptop. For a while I was lugging my desktop out to the garage to do programming.
BTW: why do you want to increase your timing? The stock timing curve is already pretty agressive.

Yeah, like rskrause asked, why do you feel the need to increase your timing? If all you have is the hotcam and gears, you really don't need to do much to make that run well (if anything, the hotcam was designed to run well off the stock tuning). The stock timing is already pretty aggressive, increasing it probably won't see much, if any, gain. In fact, you'll most likely end up seeing knock, which will result in less power, not more. If you are serious about doing your own tuning, make sure you take the time and learn how to do it correctly. You can badly damage your engine if you change the wrong think. If you really want to have your car tuned, talk to Madwolf, he's a good mail order tuner. Us tuners hang out in the computer forum, you'll see him over there as well. His website is www.madz28.com, he's a paying advertiser on this site.
