Is there any wat to test the ignition coil to see if it is malfunctioning or a test for the optispark . Ihave an 95 ta lt1 motor will not start. note the motor does turn over. Any volt /ohm meter test to check thanks wes .

 

When you say "turn over", what do you mean? It means starter not cranking to me and that would have nothing to do with coil or opti.

If you mean it cranks, but does not start, check for spark. There are some tests for coil and opti on my Tech Page.

Listen to make sure the fuel pump is running when you first turn the key to the "on" position. Check your fuel pump fuse to see if it's blown. Sounds like you're not getting spark or fuel.

 

Ok i tested the coil and it shows the coil is good ,i tested the connectors for voltage to the pink wire and its ok . I had someone to start the car while checking the sparkplug wire for arcing no spark or arcing at all fuel pump is working gas is getting to cylinder i dont know whats left ? is there any test for the optispark ? thanks wes
