Help stuck in Lafayette... Freescan info!!!
Ok I was leaving my aunt and uncle's house to get back to Houston when my car died on me... I tried to restart it but with no luck... It trys to fire but just wont... So anyways I towed it over to my brothers house... I have the computer hooked up to it and all... Using Freescan I dont have any touble codes but I seem to remember it doing a system scan once a long time ago... Can anyone tell me how to get the freescan sofware to do a sytem scan??? If not is there any other software I can download that will???

Since you say you have spark, you might want to check fuel pressure with a test gauge.

It sucks to be away from your tools.
Everyone should have a pressure tester, though. If by chance you think you might have flooded the engine, try cranking it with the gas pedal pushed to the floor.
i tried starting the car with th pedal to the floor a couple of times but with not luck... Although that is when it did try to start...
Question if by chance it was the opti the computer would have stored a code for sure right??? The reasone i ask is I have been having bad luck with opti's in the past two months... I have been threw five of them before i found the vacuum line to the back side of the opti plugged... Dont worry i havent bought five of them i get the eye from a friend of mine that works at mis. and normally the cap was all corroded so i would get a new on at AZ...
