IAT question...Shoebox again?

Okay since I bought my 96 Z the IAT sensor has been getto-rigged. I just bought the 1LE elbow because my other one got tourn. Now the problem is that the the plug that SHOULD plug into the sensor built into the intake elbow is non-existant. I have but 2 meesly wires with tiny metal pins on the end which i manually stick onto the metal tips in the sensor. How do i go about getting a new plug from those wires...I was about to order a IAT then realized that that is probably the piece inside the intake and not the plug that connects to it. Anybody got an idea?
Thanks
Bill

Are you saying the harness connector is missing? If so, you can get a "standard" GM IAT sensor connector at most auto parts stores. It will need a little tab on the edge of it ground off to fit in the LT1 IAT sensor, but it will work - I've used them to make "extensions" for the IAT wires. Or get the part number for the LT1 harness connector from Shoebox, and order one from a dealer.
