I heard about a mod to the IAT that's claiming to add hp. By fooling the IAT to think cool air in entering, richening the mixture & advancing the timing. Anyone do this? And, did you get any gains from it? Thanx.

 

There were a couple of recent threads about this. Try a search. Basically, it has no effect for a car using a MAF.

If you want to test it yourself, go to Radio Shack and get a 4.7k ohm resistor and plug it in in place of the IAT. Then judge for yourself. At least it won't cost you much.

 

I have one, i cant tell a difference either, its supposed to advance timing a degree or two.
