IAC OHM'd readings bad

I just tested mine and the AtoB terminals read OL and the CtoD termianl reads 55 ohms, will this cause a bad idle, if it idles at all?

Yes it will cause an idle that is not stable. The ECM will have no way of controlling the idle.

Recheck and make sure your meter was connected well to the terminals.

I did, and I even used my IAC tester with wires hanging out and checked it in line. I even cleaned the terminals, and verified that the wires going in there were the same colors. It was bad.
I installed a new one yesterday, and voila, the idle is doing great. It hasnt done this in years where the idle actually moves around as commanded by the ecm.
I am going to drive it around for a while today and get the IAC familiar with the engine needs. I did th IAC reset like your site says shoebox, and she is doing good.
I just cant understand why I never had a code. And after all these years of trying to figure out my idle issue.

What familiarity are you talking about? The IAC doesn't 'learn', it just does what the PCM tells it to do.

No code for the IAC motor in any LT1 diagnostic system.

Nothing to learn, after you've used Shoebox's reset procedure.

I thought our PCM had a learn function. Regardless, I drove for the first time in years with the AC on in gear, stop and go traffic. She didnt fluctuate at all. Ran great.
No fuel smell either.
