I think I figured out my misfiring problem
Re: I think I figured out my misfiring problem
My car is/was getting a miss at low RPMs w/ load. It's an A4, so when you'd go to give it some gas it would miss until it got up to around 2000rpms. It only did it once it got out of the startup fuel tables (I assume these cars run a startup fuel mixture until a specific temperature is reached like most other cars do). I unplugged my MAF to see if it was that, and so far the problem has gone away for the most part. I still have some miss, but nowhere near as much. And this is coming from a car that has 151000 miles on it. Next up will be new plugs and wires and see how she does then. So, my suggestion is to make sure the MAF is clean before you go replaceing all these other parts. Just my $0.02 though.

Nope I haven't fixed it yet. I have the motor on an engine stand, so I'm going in to see what the problem is. But my oil pressure was dropping to about 7-8 at idle. It has never got below 25 before, so I have other issues as well.
If you see arcing, yeah, more then likely the wires are bad. Check the plugs again to see if any are cracked. I have had cases in the past where I had arcing as you described and new wires and plugs fixed it right up.
