I could not get car started after new opti install. Not even a spark at the plugs. I pulled new opti back off and i did infact install it with the dowel not in the right hole. My question is has any one else that has made this mistake ruined there opti? Would this infact cause a no start situation? Installing this the 1st time sucked the second time in same week sucked more, if there has to be a third time im torching the car.

Do you have the correct electrical harness for the vented Opti? If the dowel pin is in the wrong hole and turning the rotor you would have spark. It would be timed incorrectly and not likely to start. Sounds like you don't have a good harness connection.

 

My MSD came vented. What brand did you buy? I hear lots have installed incorrectly. Never heard they needed to buy a new one because of it.
