How streetable (feel) does hyper have over forged internals?

Im doing a rebuild in a few weeks.

After researching the subject i found that with forged you can have oil consumptions and burning problems because they dont hug the walls as close.. Im guessing the ride would be alittle rougher? How much rougher? And how bad is the oil consumption problem?

I want the Engine to feel like new. And i want it to be streetable. Money isnt really the issue. I just want it to feel smooth.

Whats everyones opinion on how forged pistons "feel"?

Im considering going with the Best Keith black pistons out there... gapped for a 100-150 shot just incase i feel the need later on.

Other than a little more noise when cold there will no difference in "feel" between a motor built with forged or with hypereutectic slugs.

Rich how much noise??

I have a borla exhaust thats fairly loud. Its probably as loud as a loudmouth SLP.

Will it make a knocking sound when cold?? can i hear it or feel it over the exhaust really??

Sorry im just **** about my car.. I build it to be a super car, and being smooth is one of the aspects.

Again, this will be only when cold. I'd say you are gonna have to listen real close to hear it over the exhaust. Not arguing for forged vs. HE for your app., just trying to answer the question. KB pistons seems to have a good reputation. I have never used them as I put my pistons through hell and want the strongest I can get.

Rich, I'm also planning a rebuild and looking for a good set of pistons. It's only a 355, but I'm running the CC306 and will occassionally spray a 100 shot MAX. I know forged internals will be overkill, but I want a tough durable engine that will last. So, with that, what forged pistons would you recommend?

JE or their nearly as good and a fair bit less expensive "cousins" the SRP or Ross are brands I have used sucessfully. JE is about as good as it gets, but they are pretty pricey.
