which fuel pump

Havent been on here in probably 8 yrs or more, glad to be back. I've got a 96 M6 Z28 that I bought new and dragged it till I blew the motor (too much spray). Got motor rebuilt 8 yrs ago with the best of the best at the time, Lloyd Elliot heads and cam forged internals blah blah. Lost interest and funds in the car and its been in garage ever since. Finally got the $$ and interest going again. Tried to fire it up the other day and FP is dead. Been outta touch with the "go fast" seen for awhile and need some advice on whats the best pump to go with. Motor is estimated at 450ish and plan on spraying 200-250 shot. Please give me some idea's on where to start.

Re: which fuel pump

"450ish" at the rear wheels, or at the flywheel? Do you plan to supply the (wet??) nitrous system from the in-tank pump, or from a stand alone cell and pump?

Re: which fuel pump

Then you're talking about more than 500HP at the flywheel, and another 250 for the nitrous. I don't think a 255 LPH pump will be adequate. It takes more fuel to make a HP with nitrous than it does normally aspirated, due to the stoichiometry of nitrous/gasoline. I make 800 HP at the flywheel and run dual Bosch 205 LPH high pressure pumps. That 410 LPH can support 1,000 HP, so 800 requires 330 LPH..... you'll bo close to that, or at least 300 LPH.

With a very efficient tune, I run 0.44 #/HR/HP on straight motor, and 0.52 #/HR/HP brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) with the juice.
