How do u take off the trans dip stick?

taking off egr/A.I.R. , need to make more room

im in the process of installing Lts and im tryin to pull my emissions off the back of my intake and its EXTREMELY difficult with large hands, how do i take off the trans dip stick so i can get back there. i wont have to put new fluid in will i? also will pulling that valve cover make it easier thanks

There is a tab on the tube that a transmission to block bolt goes through. With that removed the tube should pull out of the transmission (similar to the oil dipstick tube on the engine block). The fluid level should be below the tube.

Dealing with getting that out might be harder than what you are doing now. If you are careful, you can gently bend the tube up at the top to move it out of the way of some things. It won't go too far, but maybe enough for what you are doing.

Hmmm...with my Mid-Lengths the Trans Dipstick didn't get in the way.

Could be another story with LT's though.
