dip stick debacle

Anyone out there know where to find the boot that fits over the dip stick sealing it in the tube? After a mere twenty + years mine has deteriorated. I found the actual dip stick, but it did not include the boot.

Re: dip stick debacle

You have to buy the whole tube and they are year specific if you want to replace the one you have with one identical. Ask me how i know. Here is the one you need. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Caprice-LT1-Dipstick-Tube-Impala-SS-Camaro-Firebird-1993-94-12551831-Roadmaster-/390335242052?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae1cb1f44&vxp=mtr

Re: dip stick debacle

I can probably guess why...... I was told the tube for mine was no longer available by the local Chevrolet dealer. The picture looks to be exactly the correct tube. Thank you for the link
