How to bypass vats? (fuel pump)
Question:
Person I know has some serious VATS issues and he cannot figure it out. He tried getting a new key, swapping modules and getting a new key for the other module... the problem is somewhere else but he decided to just bypass it.
He says the engine turns over but he cannot hear the fuel pump. I looked at the diagrams and bypassing the starter kill looks easy. His starter works though so that isn't necessary. Also the PCM side of the VATS has been disabled. How to make the fuel pump work then?

Well, if it is VATS, then the security light will either flash or stay lit, after the ignition is turned on. (I don't remember which one it does) Also, you will be able to start the car, but it will stop within like 2 seconds.
That is what mine did when I installed my remote start, anyways.
Here is a thing you can look at to help you bypass the Passkey or VATS system:

Guess all you have to do is put a resistor between the two wires that go from the ignition to some place in the dashboard. In my 95, they were two tiny white wires inside an orange sleeve.
Hope this helps.
